Biography
Dr. Fangming Zhong is a associate professor in the School of Software Engineering at Dalian University of Technology(DUT).
He received his B.S. (2012), M.S. (2014) and Ph.D. degree (2018) in software engineering. He used to be a visitor student in University of Exeter from Sep. 2016 to Aug. 2017, under the supervision of Prof.Geyong Min.
In 2021, He joined the he joined the School of Software Engineering at DUT as an Associate Professor (Special Review Committee) and was honored with the title of 'Dalian Young Talent’ in high-level talent recognition.
He has published 20+ academic papers about cross-modal retrieval and zero-shot learning on ACM MM, Pattern Recognition, DASFAA and ICASSP, etc.
He hold 5 authorized invention patents, 1 utility model patent, and 3 software copyrights.
He has served as reviewer for top journals such as IEEE TNNLS, Information Fusion, Information Science, ESWA.
He has served as the chair of the WorkShop KDBD-2020 at the Big Data international conference, as well as a committee member for various international conferences, including IEEE HPCC 2018 and IEEE iThings 2017.
He has led one National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Young Scientist project and one Central University Scientific Research Startup project. As the main technical lead, he has participated in one national key research and development program, three NSFC General projects, one prominent project in Dalian City, and several commissioned projects from various enterprises
