About me

Dr. Fangming Zhong is a associate professor in the School of Software Engineering at Dalian University of Technology (DUT). He received his B.S. (2012), M.S. (2014) and PhD degree (2018) in software engineering from Dalian University. He used to be a visiter student in University of Exeter from Sep. 2016 to Aug. 2017, under the supervision of Prof. Geyong Min. Before jointing School of Software Engineering, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Postdoctoral Research Station of Computer Science and Technology in DUT. He has published 20+ academic papers about cross-modal retrieval and zero-shot learning on Pattern Recognition, Computers and Electronics in Agriculture, IET Image Processing, DASFAA and ICASSP, etc. He has servered as reviewer for top journals such as IEEE TNNLS, Information Science, Information Fusion, and the Chiar of IEEE PICOM Workshop (KDBD-2020). He received the Best Contribution Award of Smart X 2016, Outstanding Service Award from the IEEE HPCC 2018.

Research interests: multimodal learning, robust cross-modal retrieval, cross-modal hashng, and zero-shot learning.
